Prayers for California

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up those affected by the wildfires in California. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We ask for Your protection over the lives and homes of those in harm’s way. Surround them with Your peace, and grant them safety in the midst of chaos.

Father, we pray for the firefighters, first responders, and all those risking their lives to combat the flames. Strengthen their bodies, sharpen their minds, and shield them from harm. We pray that you stand in the fire with them as you did with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. May they feel Your guiding hand as they work tirelessly to save lives and property.

For those who have lost their homes or loved ones, Lord, bring comfort and hope. Remind them of Your promise that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those crushed in spirit. Provide for their needs, whether it be shelter, food, or emotional support, and send compassionate people to walk alongside them in their recovery.

Lord, we also lift up the communities affected. May they find unity and strength in leaning on one another. Let this be a time when love and compassion overflow, and neighbors care for each other as You have called us to do.

Finally, we ask for Your hand to calm the winds, bring rain, and quench the fires. We trust in Your power over creation and Your perfect timing. Through this crisis, may hearts be drawn closer to You, finding hope and restoration in Your unfailing love. Father, do what only you can do. And all glory and honor will be given to you alone.
