A Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a heavy heart, grieving for the lives lost in the recent airplane collisions in Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and I ask that You wrap Your loving arms around the families and friends mourning their loved ones. Bring them peace that surpasses understanding, strength for the days ahead, and the assurance that You are near to the brokenhearted.

Father, I lift up those who were injured and all who were impacted by these tragedies. Heal their bodies, minds, and spirits. Surround them with the support and love they need to walk through this difficult time. May they find refuge in You, their Rock and Redeemer.

Lord, I also pray for a shift in our communities across this nation. Where there is division, bring unity. Where there is despair, bring hope. Where there is brokenness, bring restoration. Let us rise as a people who care for one another, who seek to build up instead of tear down, and who long to see Your will done on earth as it is in heaven.

May we work together to rebuild and restore—not only our communities but also our hearts—so that we may be aligned with Your purpose. Let us be vessels of Your love, grace, and peace in a world that so desperately needs You.

In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.
